Our new library, at 7,600 square feet, has three times more space than the old library.

With the exterior landscaping complete, the library is a welcome addition to downtown Sandusky.

The library features a Community Room with seating for thirty to fifty people.

It is available to cultural, educational, civic and governmental groups as a meeting facility.

Our genealogy room offers the largest collection of research  material in Sanilac County.

Our trained staff can help to “steer you” in the right direction.

State of the art technology, including direct Internet access, and the county’s largest collection of genealogical resource material, make the Sandusky District Library one of the leading research and study institutions in the area.
A large children’s and youth area gives kids a chance to “curl up with a good book”.

Included are accelerated reading and Target Reading Books for use with the Sandusky Public Schools reading program.

 

A new and improved adult reading area features a relaxing atmosphere.

Enjoy hundreds of fiction and non-fiction titles, including paperbacks and over 90 magazine subscriptions.
